    Why Are Injury Victims Struggling After Accidents?

    Many accidents happen without warning, and the aftermath can be overwhelming. Medical bills begin to pile up, missed work leads to lost income, and insurance companies often push back on valid claims.

    Even when injuries are serious, insurance providers may try to minimize payouts or delay the process. Without strong legal guidance, many injured individuals settle for far less than they deserve.

    What is a personal injury case?

    If someone else’s negligence causes you harm, then you may have a personal injury case.

    If we do not obtain compensation for you, you owe us absolutely nothing. We only take a fee if we obtain a recovery for you. This is called a contingency fee arrangement.

    Each case is unique. Factors that determine value include:

    • Amount of medical bills
    • Types of medical treatment
    • Injury type and severity (including permanency)
    • Lost wages and loss of future earning capacity
    • Loss of household services
    • Pain and suffering

    Most personal injury claims take several months to resolve. The timeline depends on the severity of injuries, length of treatment, insurance coverage issues, and whether litigation is required. If a lawsuit is filed, the process may take longer.

    You are responsible for your medical expenses until your claim settles. We work with your providers to submit bills to health insurance, help prevent collections, negotiate reductions when possible, and may use Letters of Protection if appropriate. Once your case settles, we work to reimburse insurers and negotiate reductions so you keep more of your recovery.

    If the at-fault driver has no insurance (Uninsured Motorists) or not enough insurance (Underinsured Motorists), your own auto policy may provide additional coverage to compensate you for your injuries.

    MedPay is optional coverage that helps pay your medical bills immediately after an accident. The other driver’s insurance does not pay medical expenses up front — those are typically reimbursed from a later settlement.

    If your health insurance pays for accident-related treatment, it has a legal right to be reimbursed from your settlement. This is called subrogation. We work to negotiate reductions whenever possible.

    Generally, personal injury settlements are not taxable. However, portions related to lost wages, lost profits, or punitive damages may be taxable.

    We assist injured clients with property damage. However, we do not handle property-damage-only claims.
