According to the individuals who nominated Mrs. Hartshorn, her classroom is known for its atmosphere of encouragement. She has demonstrated a passion for her students’ lives and education both in and out of the classroom, inspiring them to do their best in all they do.

“You set the expectation,” she said. “And kids will typically rise to the occasion. Push them to be the best version of them and do that in a way that they understand and believe that it’s for their own personal growth.”
