Our team at Jan Dils Attorneys at Law was proud to once again host the annual Spaghetti Dinner for Veterans and their families! Traditionally, we host a sit-down dinner, but with a pandemic still affecting our community we wanted to keep everyone safe, while still celebrating our Veterans’ service. This year, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we once again hosted a drive-thru in the parking lot at our office in Parkersburg, WV!
The dinner was in honor of those who have served this country! All proceeds raised once again benefited Operation Transportation! This nonprofit is a local organization that works to provide veterans with free bus passes. So far, the organization has provided over 6,000 free passes for Veterans in our area, and our team hopes to keep that number growing! We are thrilled to announce that the event provided 79 Veterans with meals and collectively severed 318 meals!
Although we were not be able to gather for a traditional dinner, there was still a raffle for several door prizes. This dinner was FREE for Veterans and children under eight years old with a paying adult. The cost for civilians was $5.00 per meal. This was a cash-only event, so we asked that participants came prepared. When you arrived there were two lines in the parking lot, one for pre-orders and one for day of orders!
Thank you to everyone who joined us at 963 Market Street in Parkersburg, WV, 26101, on November 4th from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM for an early Veterans Day celebration! We hope you’ll join us next year again!
