Jess Hacker’s journey with Jan Dils Attorneys at Law began in 2011 as a receptionist with no background in VA law. Through hard work, a passion for learning, and a commitment to helping others, she worked her way through five different positions within the VA department, building more than 15 years of experience in veterans disability law. Today, she leads the firm’s VA operations with a focus on developing people, strengthening processes, and ensuring the team has the tools and knowledge to serve Veterans effectively.

As a VA Accredited Non-Attorney Representative, Jess brings both operational leadership and a personal commitment to helping Veterans navigate the claims process and pursue the benefits they have earned through their service.

Jess is passionate about helping team members grow, building strong teams, and creating processes that support the firm’s mission. Above all, she finds her work most rewarding when she knows it makes a meaningful difference in the lives of Veterans and their families.

Outside of work, Jess loves spending time with her husband and two daughters and cherishes regular Sunday dinners with her entire family. She also enjoys canning food and keeping family traditions alive. Although her birthday falls on Halloween, Christmas is her favorite time of year, especially for the memories and traditions shared with loved ones.
