How long will my case take?

Case type: Some claim types take longer to resolve because they require additional proof to substantiate the claim

Parties and Insurance Coverage: If there is a coverage dispute, it can lengthen case time. The dispute may require litigation to determine whose policy applies and which policy terms apply to the case.

Your injuries and conditions: We typically do not present a claim until you have reached MMI (maximum medical improvement). The length of your treatment may extend your case time (This isn’t a bad thing; it’s important for you to seek the treatment you need and that your providers recommend so that you can get back to your pre-accident health)

Litigation: If a lawsuit is filed, that will increase the length of your case.  The litigation process may take years, depending on the case type

Court approval required? Applies typically when a minor is the injured party or a wrongful death claim is being brought by the decedent’s family.
