Announcing the 2014 Walk4Vets Event

All of us at Jan Dils Attorneys at Law are excited to announce that our charity event for Veterans, the Walk4Vets, will return in September 2014 after a year-long hiatus.

Started by Jan Dils in 2011, the Walk4Vets is an annual event held in the Mid-Ohio Valley that benefits local Veterans organizations. In 2012, we raised nearly $18,000 for local Veterans charities.

Maintaining the spirit of the Walk4Vets in 2013, our firm hosted several smaller events to benefit the Walk4Vets Foundation. We hosted our first ever Scrap4Vets, a highly successful scrapbooking/crafting event that will return in 2014. The firm also held a Veterans Day cookout that benefited the Foundation.

During the hiatus, our firm has implemented some large changes to the Walk4Vets event. One thing we are very pleased to announce is our new beneficiary. For the first time, proceeds from the Walk4Vets will benefit the West Virginia University at Parkersburg Veterans Corps, which supports members in their endeavor to continue their education. We are excited to begin working with the Veterans Corps this year and look forward to seeing what this relationship will lead to in the future.

While we can’t announce all of the details for the 2014 Walk4Vets yet, we can tell you we will once again have live music, games, and plenty of entertaining activities for kids.
